Do you put off things you know most likely will bless your life because you don't feel up to it?

Last month, early evening, I felt stressed. I had yoga that night and debated with myself if I should go. Getting ready and getting all my things done, felt like too much. 

I asked myself, "Would going to yoga probably create more calm or more stress?"

I remembered how peaceful I feel after and the positive results I'd seen in my flexibility, core, and balance.

The choice felt clear, I would go to yoga.

With this clarity, I got a whirl of energy and got my list done easily. After yoga, I felt so relaxed and pleased I had made the choice that blessed me.

It is the same with walks with my dog.

Sometimes the weather looks too gloomy, or my energy feels low.

Just because I don't feel like it at the moment doesn't mean inertia is the right path. 

I know walking blesses me, so I show up for myself and answer any internal objections, like "It's too cold." "Well, my dear, if you dress warm, you'll be just fine, and you know the cold air will feel good." "But I'm tired. "Well, Sharon, even more reason to get things moving and stimulate some energy." "I have too much to do." "When you take time to do a walk you're usually more productive, and so many creative ideas come to you during walks."

Here are some excuses I heard from others recently

"I'll feel good about myself after I lose 20 pounds."

Yeesh. I've gotten sucked into those trains of thought and they led me down a no-good path of loathing and bad habits, like binging on junk food. What I really desired was encouragement, love, and to make mindful choices that blessed me.

"I'll come to your Joyshop, Sharon when things are less hectic and I'm not so stressed."

When as often is the case, they want the peace and joyful stimulation the workshop can give them so life is less hectic and stressful.

I'll sign-up for a hypnosis package later when I have my life more together. One woman put up with panic attacks and severe anxiety for three years even though it had felt right to her to sign up with me. 

Don't be fooled by a temporary bad attitude. You can change your attitude by shifting your thoughts. Play around with ways you might show up for yourself more and talk yourself into following through on your wisdom.

"There is no greater gift than feeling good in the now moment.".
