It isn't uncommon for me to have fearful or worried feelings off and on throughout the week.
If I don't take the time to redirect my thoughts to softer lighter ones they can take hold and escalate.
I don't like feeling bad. And I know feeling bad doesn't serve me.
Nowadays it is more likely I will take the time to choose lighter softer thoughts.
As I do, my mood can turn around within seconds or minutes. Because I practice a lot.
Or if I don't catch it right away and I let the negative thoughts build up it might take me hours to turn it around. But it is so worth taking the time to feel good!
Sometimes an intense negative feeling comes like a flash flood because my reality feels so opposite to what I want. I might turn it around within a few minutes, but the awful feeling might pop up off and on throughout the day. My chance to practice, practice, and practice.
I know redirecting to softer lighter thoughts is worth the time and effort a million times over. Not only does it feel good to feel good, but it is breaking the ties to my old negative patterns of thinking, and strengthening positive patterns of belief.
One of my favorite tools I use to help me recenter and redirect to positive thinking quickly, is self-hypnosis.

Don't wait until the problem is solved or the unwanted condition changes to feel softer lighter feelings.
