Feel Good First, Then Move Forward

Many times, I acted too quickly.

I bought something impulsively to fix a problem and ignored my budget and priorities.

Reacted from hurt or anger and made everything worse.

Sent a frantic email to relieve fear in the moment and later wished I could take it back.

I was trying to fix the discomfort fast with action, instead of pausing, grounding, and connecting with my wisdom and clarity first.

But now more often than not, I ask myself before making a decision or taking action: Am I coming from calm and clarity, or fear, lack, or urgency?

If it’s a fearful or lackful place, I pause, and take the time to get centered and peaceful first.


To get centered I might take a hike, play with my poi to uplifting music, do a hypnosis meditation, use my Calm Breath technique, step away from my fears and talk to myself like a wise and loving friend, soothing my fears, reminding myself how I truly want to live, and tuning into my higher, broader truths.


I invite you to take that pause too, as needed.


Lack actions come from lack thoughts.


Mindful, aligned actions come from a centered and peaceful state.
