Hello, Beautiful, Sharon
"You are enough. You didn't come to impress others with your success or brilliance, or to give the most and best holiday gifts, or beat out the competition in any way, you came to live a joyful authentic engaging life." The Joy Energy
I've been jealous of others' seemingly perfect families, others unlimited funds to go on vacations, buy new cars, and generously treat and give to others.
I've felt envious of others' more successful businesses, bigger accomplishments, more cool experiences, bigger hearts, and seemingly abilities to juggle it all.
Yikes, the list could go on.
If you have to, welcome to the human race.
I bet like me comparing has brought you nothing but trouble and feelings of not being good enough.
I bet like me it distracted you from your blessings and how you really wanted to live your life, joyfully and authentically.
It's awful to feel like a failure. It's awful to feel like you have failed yourself, friends, family, and the world.
If comparing and being jealous improved my life, I'd be all for it. For some, it does motivate them to move forward, but it comes at a big price, your self-worth, and happiness. Plus, it breeds more feelings of discontent and joy killing patterns of thought.
As soon as I become aware of the green-eyed jealous monster that sucker punches out my joy and confidence, I do my best to direct to softer lighter thoughts.
Example
Last month's Holiday Joyshop participant felt the weight of the holidays because she couldn't afford to give fancy expensive gifts like her ex-husband.
Her money was going towards a comfortable home, paying for school activities, and paying the bills. She was the one there for the ups and downs, during the thick and thin.
And yet, he got the glory. It made her feel bitter and frustrated.
She volunteered for the love seat with the willingness to feel good, tell a different story, and redirect to softer lighter thoughts.
Why, was she willing? Because she has evidence that telling an empowering story and feeling good blesses her and her children.
She quickly turned things around. She started by noticing the things she was giving instead of what she wasn't- like a comfortable loving home, being there for her kids in a 1000 different ways, creating and enjoying family time with them, and so much more.
Then she noticed how she was spending her money in alignment with her values and how she was being an example for them in an authentic way. That made her feel really good too. Her feelings of lack and the focus on her ex melted away. If you'd like more inspiration and support watch the replay and listen to her turn things around with some joyful guidance.

One woman who watched the replay shared she had been dreading Thanksgiving a bit at another family's house, but it turned out so completely lovely.
She credits her joyful experience, from the support she got, especially from the love seats, from listening to the Holiday Abundance Joyshop.
