Calm Heals the Body
When the nervous system has been under stress for too long, the body shifts into survival mode.
In survival mode, energy is directed toward defense, not repair. Elevated stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline suppress immune regulation, digestion, tissue repair, and cellular healing.
Over time, this dysregulation affects not only mental and emotional health, it can also result in ill health.
Common signs of this state include low energy, inflammation, autoimmune conditions, aches and pains, or chronic pain.
This is where understanding physiology matters.
When the nervous system remains in survival mode, even when you’re doing all the right things, the body’s healing capacity is compromised.
A calm internal state is an essential ingredient for optimal health and wellbeing.
